Halloween 2008!

Halloween was great this year; it was Esteban's first Halloween trick-or-treating. He couldn't say trick-or-treat yet but he did a great job picking out candy (mostly suckers) and putting them in his bag. We did the majority of it on Center St and University Ave in Provo. I was surprised by the shear number of children out on parade and was impressed that so many businesses took part! Iguana Inks even offered free Halloween photos which he happily took part in.
Apparently collecting candy exhausted E and he was ready to call it a night by 8 PM. It seems like he had a really good time and we got so many compliments on our costumes his specifically, people loved the "soul patch"!

After E was tucked away comfortably in bed, Javier, our friend Jay and I went to Velour to watch "Monkeygrinder" perform their annual Halloween show. It didn't exactly live up to expectations but we all enjoyed ourselves. Though the performance itself was a lot of fun, I was a little bit unimpressed by the opening dialogue which was cheesy at best.

All in all it was a great day and I look forward to next Halloween, E should be a little bit more "into it" by then.

Lust for bookends?

Sometimes I find myself scouring the web for art deco bookends. I have a bookshelf filled with books just begging for the sturdy support of some sexy (yes, I used the word sexy) chrome and wood bookends. As soon as my computer stops acting up I'm going to post some examples. Bookends CAN be SEXY. As can wire wheels, vintage cigarette lighters and sometimes even telephones...
